Library Spotlight: Researching African-American Genealogy at the Ocean County Library

oceancoHistorically, it has been difficult for African-Americans to find and utilize traditional resources in researching their family history. To meet the needs of its community, the Ocean County Library created a two-part program – one for the public and one for the staff – focusing on the best methods and resources for conducting this type of genealogical research.
